I started SimpleAI because I saw the same thing everywhere: businesses knew AI mattered, but nobody could tell them where to start. The market was full of hype, empty demos, and tools that promised everything. I took a different path. I built my own AI systems first, used them to run my own business, and only then started teaching others. Every workshop I run, every system I build, comes from what actually works in practice. Not theory. Not slides. Real tools, real results. That is what SimpleAI is about.

Where it started
Started studying AI at VU Amsterdam. Met co-founders who shared the same frustration: academic AI was disconnected from the real world. We started exploring how to make AI practical for companies and people.
First incubator
Joined our first startup incubator with an ambitious product combining computer vision, prediction, and machine learning. Got accepted, built fast, learned faster. The product was too complex, so we pivoted.
Company founded
Founded our first AI company. Partnered with VU Amsterdam's computer science department to build AI solutions for education. Found our first real traction and proved that AI could transform how universities operate.
Venture-backed
Secured capital from Antler, one of the world's leading venture funds. Doubled down on our product and prepared to scale.
International expansion
Launched our product to over 10,000 users. Expanded operations across Europe and India. Raised additional funding rounds to accelerate growth.
The workshop era
Scaled our AI workshops across the Netherlands. What started as occasional sessions became our core focus. Worked hands-on with professionals in recruitment, healthcare, education, and personal branding. Trained hundreds of people and saw firsthand how wide the AI gap had become.

Rebranded to SimpleAI. After years of building complex AI systems, we saw the real problem clearly: too many tools, too much noise, too much confusion. The answer was not more AI. It was simpler AI. That is what we do now.
