Do I need to know how to code?
No. If you can install an app and open a folder, you can run AIOS. Setup is a conversation: you type start and answer a few questions.
What do I need before I buy?
A Mac or Windows computer and the free Claude desktop app. For the best models you'll want a paid Claude plan (about €20/month, paid to Anthropic, not to us). That subscription is the engine; AIOS is what makes it work like a system.
Does this work with ChatGPT or other AI tools?
Claude is the recommended home and has the fullest integrated document experience. The same folder also supports Codex, Cursor, Antigravity, Kimi Code, Gemini CLI, and VS Code through shared instructions and skills.
Is my data private?
Everything AIOS remembers is plain text inside the folder on your computer. You can open and read all of it. AIOS doesn't run a server, doesn't collect anything, doesn't phone home.
Can I get help setting it up?
